CatholicPediatrics.com is a not-for-profit effort to bring families to faith-centered health care, because we believe it is futile to heal the body and not the soul. We do not charge any fees to physicians listed at CatholicPediatrics.com. All health care providers listed support a faith-centered approach toward pediatric care. They also pledge not to prescribe or refer for contraception, not to perform or refer for abortion or euthanasia, and to practice in accordance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
We do not make any money off this effort. In fact, we incur significant costs for web hosting and insurance which we pay out-of-pocket. We hope to defray some of these costs by selling a few books and resources.
A similar organization, One More Soul, (www.onemoresoul.com), is oriented towards women’s health and reproduction and provides an online directory of pro-life, NFP-only physicians. CatholicPediatrics.com hopes to fill the unmet demands of parents seeking faithful pediatricians who share their views on healing, parenting, and family life.

Please help me find a Pediatric Psychiatrist for my 12 year old. She has an aversion to solid food that has come and gone 3 times and at first her Pedeatric wanted to send her to the downtown "Mental Health Clinic".
1st she was diagnosed as severe acid reflux 4 years ago. That is gone. She would eat a year and a half and then go soft food only.
After several test covering all areas of eating and swallowing we finally received a recommendation for solid food aversion treatment with a Ped. Psych.
I had a young brother that was treated by a Psych years ago and given wrong advice about how it was normal to sleep with the older neighbors wife.
That man still gets in trouble and goes to jail.
I want a Dr. that believes in God , with the best moral character in their treatment of my Girl.
Thanks for any possible help. I am looking for someone in Michigan.
I thought this may be of interest to you since you have this blog and publish articles at several other sites:
Are you a Catholic writer loyal to the Magisterium and looking for a group of like-minded writers determined to assist each other in our publishing goals?
Are you an editor, publisher, or illustrator interested in furthering the development of quality faith-filled writings?
If so, the Catholic Writers' Guild may be for you!
The Catholic Writers' Guild is a group of writers, artists, editors, illustrators, and allies whose mission is dedicated to building a vibrant Catholic literary culture. We do this by encouraging each other to create, publish, perform, and share our work, by reflecting upon core Catholic values in art, and by networking among ourselves and with others within the faith and literary communities.
I just attended the Catholic Writers' Guild Conference in Pennsylvania, and I am trying to get together a group in the St. Louis area in order to establish a local chapter of the Guild.
If you are interested, please email me at dymontgomery@gmail.com
And please feel free to forward this email to anyone who may be interested! Thank you.
May God continue to bless your work!
Jonathan,
Have you explored the Catholic Medical Association? This is a group of Catholic physicians and healthcare workers who have come together to be a voice of faithful Catholicism within the medical field. There is also a CMA Students Section that you can join, and as a member you can have access to a database of faithful Catholic physicians all over the country. I know that there are several in the STL area. I was one of the founding members of the student section, and it has been a fantastic group for students, with many great opportunities for community and mentorship. You can find out more here: http://cathmed.org/students/
Hi Dr. Berchelmann! I found your website by searching Google for Catholic pediatricians near DC. I'm a medical student in Washington, DC, and I see now that you're in St. Louis, but I was wondering if you happen to know any strong Catholic pediatricians in DC. We have a clinical apprenticeship program at my school in which we shadow a doctor, see and report on patients, etc., but this is a very liberal city and I'm having a hard time finding a doctor nearby enough (since I don't have a car) to be a good mentor for me. I've just begun my Google searching, so hopefully I will find some more resources in my area, but since you were one of the first I found I thought I'd send you a message! Thanks for your help, and thanks for being a truly Catholic doctor!
Hi Jonathan,
At this time I do not yet have a Catholic pediatrician directory at www.catholicpediatrics.com, but I do hope to start one in the next year or so. Where are you attending medical school? Another good resource would be the Catholic Medical Association. They do not have a directory on their web site, but if you call them they may give recommendations. Please come back to CatholicPediatrics.com soon and we'll list you as a Catholic med student just as soon as I get my directory up and running! Keep up the good work!
